It was February 3, 1994 when the first La Cocina opened with only one goal in mind: To create delicious and savory authentic Mexican dishes and serve the finest cocktails this side of the border. Anyone who has stepped into one of our three locations, knows instantly, our food is a work of heart. We greet you twice, once with the love and pride of family welcoming you into our kitchen where your appetite is sure to be satisfied. Next, with the delicious smells of perfectly braised beef, stewing slowly and cooking to perfection as it waits to be rolled into the perfect Chile Colorado burrito. Or perhaps it’s the scent of freshness – onion, cilantro, chiles and tomatoes. Your nose is telling you the perfect bowl of salsa is being prepared just for you. If you can’t trust your sense of smell, let the sounds intoxicate you as a cast-iron skillet sizzles nearby. The fixings for steamy fajitas hiss as they’re uncovered with a delicious heaping of rice, creamy refried beans, hot fresh veggies and your choice of chicken, steak, or shrimp – all perfect for wrapping in a soft, piping hot tortilla. Maybe it’s the whir of the blender that perks you ear. Your well-known neighborhood cocktail masters dance behind the bar in a flurry, making the most delectable drinks materialize, so you can make them disappear. Join the rhythm at the bar as ice clinks in near-bottomless glasses where the famous Cadillac margarita is infused with La Cocina tequila; Ice cold, rich and seductive. Our golden namesake cocktail is the perfect complement to anything on the menu, or enjoy our delicious ambrosia by itself, as it remains unmistakably classico.
